HASS

The humanities and social sciences (HASS) focus on human behaviour and interaction in historical, environmental, political and economic contexts.

All Ashdale Primary students study history and geography. From Year 3, the students are introduced to civics and citizenship and from Year 5, economics and business.

While learning about these subjects, the students develop critical thinking and communication skills. By studying HASS, students develop a broad understanding of the world, becoming active and informed citizens.
